Project contents: The project “Listy minotaura” (trans. The Minotaur's Letters) is a multimedia collaboration rooted from the artwork and text by author and artist, prof. Andrzej Bednarczyk. The key components include a 1000-page richly illustrated book with carefully crafted packaging, an audiobook, an extensive augmented reality application activated by each of the 246 drawings showcased in the book, as well as two Spark AR filters for both the book and audiobook covers. The project's branding consists of an animated logo, web and app design, as well as several smaller animations dedicated to promoting the project on social media. The book was published in 2021, the audiobook and app in 2022. The project, in connection to the editorial piece, is completed. Project concept: The work of prof. Andrzej Bednarczyk revolves around the metaphor of human life as a lonely journey through a labyrinth of countless corridors and crossroads, stretched over space and time, with neither entrance nor exit. We are all born in this maze, and each one of us will die in one of it's musty alleys, without finding the promised treasure, we seek out to discover. The book (title “Listy minotaura do zakażonych”, trans. “The Minotaur's Letters to the Infected) is an embodiment of Pandora's box. It's mysterious exterior, once lifted, reveals a cubic, three dimensional representation of a pixel. It is a fragment extracted from the intense magma of the world wide web, in which we are all interconnected. The denseness of the drawings, filled with equal amounts of drama and humor, set out to inflict confusion and fatigue upon the viewer. The box unleashes the varied curses of mankind trapped in the images, while holding the reader hostage in hope of finding the hidden meaning. The augmented reality application, available for download through the QR code on one of the first pages of the book, activates addition graphic contents on each illustration, as well as quotes and additional text comments. The book was published in a limited amount of 200 copies, while the physical audiobook was produced in a quantity of 500. Both the book's and audiobook's cover, when viewed through a dedicated Spark AR filter, activate two additional animations – a heavy cloud of characters escaping from the top of the book accompanied by sound, or a revolving 3D cube on the flat surface of the audiobook envelope.
