Explainer video tobacco prevention in the school environment
Background
Tobacco and nicotine products are still available everywhere in Switzerland today. According to studies, Switzerland still lags far behind its European neighbors in terms of protection and prevention, especially in the area of children and adolescents. As a result, Switzerland is one of the worst performers in Europe in this respect and has to contend with an enormously high rate of first-time smokers in adolescence. This has an enormous impact on the healthcare system as well as the costs of care and treatment.
Approach
On behalf of the Tobacco Prevention Fund, Education21 is developing a series of teaching materials for secondary school classes that teach the topic of tobacco and its effects in a varied way and from different perspectives. Approaches and methods are taught on how pupils can deal with problems, fears and group dynamics and find solutions.
Idea
Communicate prevention in a fresh, unconventional and contemporary way in the form of explanatory videos that appeal to the young target group both visually and in terms of content.
Realization
The videos use a simple, humorous, illustrative visual language that is accessible to all age groups. The aim is to convey complex topics such as stress management and other everyday challenges and problems in an easily understandable and appealing way.
Short explanations, clear explanations and motivating messages are intended to appeal to young people and encourage them to take action and become active themselves.
These videos are used as part of a series of teaching materials in schools. They are colorful, crisp and direct to capture viewers' attention and convey complex concepts in an entertaining and easily digestible way.
