Project Miele Elements Agency LucasFonts Year 2024 Award Finalist

Miele Elements

Miele Elements is a new corporate typeface created for Miele, a German company that produces high-quality appliances. The typeface expresses the company's aesthetic values and timeless product design, and embodies the evolution of geometric grotesque typefaces. With 9 weights, 2 widths, variable and office versions, the family is ready for all future communications. It is innovative for the genre and comes with distinctive italics, small caps, and matching hanging numerals. The font includes Latin, Greek, Cyrillic, and language-specific adjustments that cover most areas of operation.

The lettershapes draw inspiration from the Miele logo, which features diamond-shaped dots, an M that echoes the logo shape and straight-cut terminals. The font has subtle rounded corners that reflect the sharp and yet tangible design of Miele appliances and complement those of the massive Miele icon set co-designed over the years.

The font is currently being rolled out worldwide.
