The ED-Awards Agencies League ranks European design studios based on their performance across the past five editions of the European Design Awards (2021–2025). The ranking system rewards not only award-winning work, but also the consistency and competitiveness of that success over time.
Points per Distinction
Each award earns points based on the number of submissions in the category it was awarded in:
- Gold → 3 × number of submissions
- Silver → 2 × number of submissions
- Bronze → 1 × number of submissions
This means distinctions in more competitive categories are worth more, reflecting the level of achievement required to stand out.
Consistency Bonus
To reward long-term excellence, studios receive a bonus based on the number of different years in which they have received distinctions (Gold, Silver, or Bronze):
| Years with Distinctions |
Consistency Bonus |
| 2 years |
+10% |
| 3 years |
+20% |
| 4 years |
+30% |
| 5 years |
+40% |
This bonus is applied to the studio's total score, ensuring that sustained, year-on-year performance is recognised — not just isolated success.
