The Portuguese industry leader in crisps manufacturing wanted an out-of-the-box, engaging and very dynamic website that fulfilled three main objectives: the user must immediately understand that they could make their own crisps (their brand, their products); show the scale of the factory and process of manufacturing crisps; show SIA’s respect for the environment. Starting with a standard unbranded pack, the user can interact with the wooden spoons to choose from the type of potatoes, flavours and elements which appear across the screen. The industrial process is introduced with memorable photography and the sustainability is reinforced with custom pictograms that react to the scrolling motion. The second phase of the website was to develop a short film (<3min) focused on the same objectives as the website so users can get the brand’s message without having to navigate the site.
