Icons for Pebble

Pebble is the the World’s lightest and thinnests smart watch, and by far the most easy to use. By turning funtionality into feelings, we made it the most charming as well. The cheerful and twisted icons tell you sweet little stories as you walk through your day. Making the user interface a perfect companion to the lighthearted atmosphere surrounding this little, wallet friendly piece of tech.
What would a digital world be without motion? We use animations to convey the story, so icons can be understood even when they are a little absurd. To keep them lightweight, the icons are animated using SVG.  Something to think about when drawing them. Animations executed by Pebble.
A watch isn’t that big. Especcially Pebble, that actually doesn’t look like a spaceship on your wrist. This means that everything on the screen can’t be big all the time. And that again, meant that we had to make the icons in three sizes. Assuring readability and functionality all the way through.
With up to 7 days of battery life, Pebble last so much longer than any other smartwatch. And it’s at it’s best in sunny light! All because of the e paper screen. To fit the specifications of the Pebble screen, all angles in the icons are adjusted pixel by pixel – assuring the anti-aliasing works perfect in a limited enviroment. No bezier curves. No halfway pixel perfectness. Just clean lines.
