“Epos” is a miniature book that reduces 20 epic sagas to a bite size read. 3,200,000 words of literary classics are shrunk to just 1,820. . Inspired by books and manuscripts found at the writer’s literary retreat on Crete, it was designed to encourage readers reacquaint themselves with the great texts. On average it shrinks sagas like Homer’s Odyssey from around 120,000 to under 100 words.
The book's purist cover is a minimalist translation of classical book designs of the past, reducing all information to a simple title. Its minimalist design contrasts the maximalism of the contents to underpin the contradiction between big and small.
