Villa Terra Creta is a luxury residence built on historic grounds on the island of Crete. The retreat sits at the crossroads of antique civilizations and is introduced to visitors as the epitome of Greek culture. To promote the Villa to its international clientele, we designed a series of postcards that reduce famous Greek legends to just five words. From the abduction of Europa to the Fall of Icarus, readers are encouraged to read the words and guess the legend. The words are printed in a simple list to encourage legibility and help readers guess correctly and the uncomplicated purist layout reflects the idea of classicism. The postcards were sent as season’s greetings to existing and prospective residents of the Villa.
