Ten + Ten

This brochure was created on the occasion of celebrating the twentieth anniversary of the Kappo studio, presenting their 10 most significant realized, as well as 10 planned projects. This Studio has been offering innovative and creative solutions for landscape architecture, spatial planning, and urbanism for 20 years already, and the brochure presents those projects that reflect concern for the landscape, the environment, the needs of the local population, and respect for the local values. Since the Studio deals exclusively with landscape architecture, we have chosen a cover that represents a relief, a topographical base without buildings which is used in model making, while using the same material. The region the Studio is from is shown, thereby creating a link to local access to projects it cherishes, which makes each project unique. The name of the anniversary “10 plus 10” comes from the 10 realized and 10 planned projects and this is reflected in the catalog itself which has two covers – one on each side. Once the reader reaches the middle, they are invited to turn the catalog over to start with a new category. On one side there are realized projects presented with a topographical three-dimensional representation, and on the other side, there are planned projects, devoid of three-dimensionality, presented only with a topographical plan. Our goal with such a design was for the catalog to, once read and put away, take over the role of the topographic representation itself, and for the reader to forget for a moment that they are holding an “ordinary” catalog in their hands.
