Zones

Istituto Zones Contenuti Culturali is active in the protection, discovery and preservation of tangible and intangible heritage related to the traditions and folklore of Val Resia, Italy, on the border with Slovenia. Zones carefully ethnographically collects objects, clothing, and artifacts of mountain life in the Resia Valley; it also collects memories, voices, sounds, dances, and unwritten melodies.

Synonymous with "areas" in English, "zones" in the Resian language means "for us." A way of emphasizing the relationship between places and identity.

The brand consists of a logotype composed with the Spektra typeface from the Slovenian TypeSalon foundry, chosen for its focus on Cyrillic characters, and a monogram in which three rods make up a Z or a series of arrows and visual connectors, depending on how they are read, echoing the dual orientation of the logotype constructed through the combination of backlanted and italic.
