Saatgut und Migration
Migrants bring new seeds from their countries of origin to Switzerland. This development intersects with many current issues such as biodiversity, food sovereignty, seed diversity, and changing climate conditions. The experiences of migrants will be made accessible to the public in the form of a photo book. The project promotes cultural exchange, highlighting positive aspects of migration. The readership will be sensitized to current issues and provided with the necessary knowledge to grow, utilize, and harvest the crops themselves and to save their seeds. The photo book includes descriptions of approximately 11 crops, grown in the north of Switzerland, from seed to harvest, along with a recipe for each plant and a portrait of the respective gardener.
For the project the in line with the theme, the cover was printed on seed paper, which can be planted.
