Power to influence

Logo - web

Background.

Architecture affects people's lives, and we affect architecture. In that lies both an opportunity and a responsibility. When former Dyrvik Architects had to change their name and visual identity, it was natural to start from the core of their work; how to give each project more creativity, meaning and a greater significance for society. Based on that, we developed the name Add - and the concept of "influence".

Through the work, Add wanted to revitalize its own brand in the industry. After many years of little communication, they now wanted to be clearer about who they are, and last but not least, make visible how they work with architecture. Add wanted an identity that could illustrate their ability to create good spaces for people.

Concept.

Through the initial strategy work, it became clear that Add lacked a visual framework to present itself and its story. At the same time, working with your own brand is something that is often given lower priority in creative professions. We therefore put a lot of emphasis on developing a few, but simple steps for the identity so that the communication work would be manageable. For Add, the process and methodology are part of the core of how they work. Together, we establish a design language that combines a strict/tight design language with a more organic logo - the methodical with the creative.

Solution.

Influence and change became the core both in the name and in the concept for the visual identity. It was a wish from Add to be more bold, to be more visible and to bring out that architecture, - with its materials, textures and shapes, is a living part of our surroundings. The name became the starting point for a logo that changes shape based on the movements of the mouse pointer, from sound or the image. It comes in many varieties, new ones are still added, but they all have in common that they allow themselves to be influenced and take on a new form. In this way, the logo and name become a daily reminder that ideas and values that create good spaces for us humans must be added to each project.

The contrast between the tight layout, the typographic style and the dynamic logo gives Add an attitude that elevates them in the category - and makes their ambition clear.
