Athens Epidaurus Festival 2024

The Athens Epidaurus Festival is Greece’s leading cultural organization and among the oldest continuously running festivals in Europe. The festival’s visual identity is redesigned every year to reflect the themes of the artistic program.

For the entire range of printed festival programs, we established a coding system based on typography and color. An architectural approach was adopted to manage the volume of textual content, so that information is conveyed to the reader in a pleasant and easy to use way, while maintaining a sense of cohesion and a consistent design language throughout. The custom-designed typeface, which contains only capital letters, announces the venues and artists, combining the common patterns that frame the 2024 Athens Epidaurus Festival. The program for each of the festival’s modules, in various iterations ranging from short leaflets to multi-page booklets – acquires a distinct identity, while remaining an integral and recognizable part of the overall visual identity of the 2024 Athens Epidaurus Festival.
