Het Muntgebouw

Het Muntgebouw – the former Royal Dutch Mint (Koninklijke Nederlandse Munt) – has been lovingly restored and transformed into a contemporary, high-end building for work and leisure.

Our design approach draws from Het Muntgebouw’s rich heritage and the skilled craftsmanship behind its restoration. For the logo, we created bespoke numismatic typography on a circular baseline. Hand-drawn and digitised, the letterforms are inspired by the Juliana Guilder coin series, once minted here by the millions. A milled-edge frame and a system of small, adaptable icons (referencing traditional mint marks) complete the identity.
