Corporate Design Deutsches Technikmuseum Berlin
The German Museum of Technology Berlin (Deutsches Technikmuseum Berlin) is reinventing itself.
One of Europe’s major museums of technology is now expressed through a vibrant, modular design system—open, dynamic, and full of energy.
At the heart of the new identity stands a robot. Built from the elemental shapes of circle, square, and triangle, it is more than a logo. It functions as a visual alphabet: a system that transforms into icons, machines, patterns, and animated forms. This modular logic keeps the identity consistent while flexible and alive.
The robot gives the museum a face and reflects its human-centered approach. We translate the museum’s understanding of technology—as part of everyday life, curious and accessible—into a clear, inviting visual language that sparks joy and lowers barriers.
The robot builds bridges between complex science and playful discovery, past and future, children and experts. It scales and adapts seamlessly across media—from posters and wayfinding to merchandise and digital applications.
Across fourteen departments and a science center, the museum now speaks with one shared visual voice.
The result is a digital-first, scalable system that doesn’t just preserve technological history—it puts technology in motion.
