Spaciousness cassette tape series

Spaciousness is an ongoing series of cassette tape releases from Lo Recordings. The record label asked us to establish a distinct visual language for the series which could run across a large series of releases while allowing each release having its own unique qualities. To help unify the series we designed a bespoke typeface which was screen printed on the outer case of the cassette. The individual artists were encouraged to contribute their own cover art for each j-card which, along with careful colour choices, helped to establish their individuality. The series has built to become a distinct family of releases, each with it’s own unique visual expression.
