Alexey Murashko
About
One-man studio, based in Riga, Latvia, focused entirely on editorial projects ranging from intellectual reading and scientific publications to complexly structured multilayout editions, artistic and photo books, and experimental off-genre publications. Serving larger and smaller clients, both local and international (Estonia, Lithuania, Georgia, Netherlands, Germany, Switzerland), Alexey established the reputation on uncompromising quality and unique design solution for each project. His projects received multiple awards and recognitions by European Design Awards, Baltic Book Design Awards, D&AD London, Tokyo and New York Type Director Clubs, as well as Paris Photo–Aperture PhotoBook Awards and Rencontres d'Arles.
While addressing contemporary book as an object, a lot of effort is invested in project research, overall visual narrative, design reduction, thoughtful resource planning and physical realization. In some publications he also acts as a co-editor and co-publisher, achieving even more holistic result. All his editions meticulously prepared for printing and personally supervised during the production process at Latvian book production facilities.
